After a 7-day weather postponement of this 36-hole trophy competition, round 1 was played on 11 November. Again, seven days later, weather forced a further delay to the start of round 2.
The weather did not deter Robin Welland who took 7 shots off his first-round score to tie for the overall lead with Richard Moseley. On count-back Robin was awarded the victory by virtue of his better second round score.
The team of Hector James (3) and Michael Ayling (17) were victorious in the annual Brian White Pairs competition. Their team’s gross score of 58, reduced by their combined handicap of 9 (nett 49) led the field by 2 shots.
A large entry competed for the attractive Summer Trophy. Iain Powell's nett 3-under par led the 2023 field. Iain had already won this particular trophy on 2 previous occasions in its 9-year history.
A very humid day at Charlton saw all scores in excess of 30, the Chairman, Peter Merry, won by a single point on 38 from Tom Smith in second place with 37.

Hector James won the 2023 Founder's Day Shield on count-back from Keith Brown. Both players returning sub-par scores of 52.
This trophy competition celebrates the founding of the club 9 years ago in 2014.
