Keith Brown hit a purple patch with a remarkable win in this fun competition, two shots ahead of the field.
In a casino medal, players gamble on 3 holes that can halve the score achieved on those holes. Halves are counted and any total concluding in a half is rounded down before handicaps are deducted. The par for this competition is 49. Keith’s total was 6 better than par. A large entry competed for the attractive Summer Trophy. Iain Powell's nett 3-under par led the 2023 field. Iain had already won this particular trophy on 2 previous occasions in its 9-year history.

They accumulate additional points by adding stableford points earned on the gross score for each hole. David's gross of 63 (net 50) earned him 27 points to add to his starting total of 13 A very humid day at Charlton saw all scores in excess of 30, the Chairman, Peter Merry, won by a single point on 38 from Tom Smith in second place with 37.
