Peter Merry made the most of a fine autumn morning for golf with a 3-under net par round to win this medal event. 4 other players equalled or bettered a par score to make his victory a close-run thing.
Colin Ayling gross par score set up his total of 42 points to win this quota competetion by 3 points ahead of his nearest rival. In a quota, players start with a quota of points equal to their handicap. Further stableford points are earned by their gross score on each hole. Since this is a strokeplay event, handicps are reviewed.
Hector James bested a small entry field to win this stableford by 2 points. Roger Stevens and Iain Powell both returned matching scores, but the countback rule showed Roger's last-nine to be the better to gain second place.
