This medal competition resulted in a 3-way tie on 2-under net par. Colin Ayling, John Roberts and Stuart Allen all returned scores of 52. The count-back rule first eliminated Stuart then determined that Colin was 1 shot better than John in the 3rd round of count-back. This was Colin's 4th consecutive win.

Following his 7-under par victory last week, Colin Ayling put in a shattering 6-under par performance again to return a winning 42 point score in this annual event.
His handicap has tumbled by 3.2 shots in 2 weeks. He was geatly assisted in this feat by a hole-in-one on the 3rd green. Click/tap any image to enlarge it. This competition combined a medal round and a count of the number of greens reached in regulation (stars). It was a remarkable performance by Colin Ayling that won the medal with a net score of 7-under par, 5 shots ahead of his nearest rival. It earned him a substantial handicap cut that might be hard to live with. Roger Stevens, once again, proved to be the most accuate, landing his ball 8 times on the green in regulation (stars) Robin Walsh salvaged a lack-lustre round with a hole-in-one on the 3rd Hole.
