As its name implies this competition is played by teams of 2. A Quite complicated formula is used to calculate each pair's handicap that produces handicaps that are measured to a tenth of a stroke.
The field was tightly bunched with most teams achieving a score that ranged over only 0.9 of 1 stroke.
Brian White, the trophy donor and inventor of this unusual competition, presented the trophy to the winning team, Robert Sellwood and Tony Sawford.
